Guest Artist: Britt Anderson – Anticlastic Forming February 17-18, 2024
February 17, 2024 @ 9:00 am - February 18, 2024 @ 4:00 pm$500.00
Anticlastic forming is a fascinating jewelry technique that shapes sheet metal using a hammer and a sinusoidal (wavy) stake. By stretching the metal’s edges and compressing the center, it develops two curves at right angles to each other, similar to the shape of a Pringle potato chip. Different patterns are cut and hammered to create various curving and shell-like structures. The process results in stunning and unique jewelry pieces that showcase the artistry and skill of the craft.
This will be the third time we have had Britt Anderson teach here.
