Plique-a’-Jour with Robert Simmons August 19-20, 2023

Description: Robert Simmons will be teaching this class because he excels in the medium. Plique-a’-jour means “Light of day.”  It is enameling with transparent colors in cavities of fine silver. Unlike cloisonne there is no backing metal, so you get an effect similar to stained glass. Earrings work best for this process as the capture the light beautifully.
