Metalsmithing: The Basic Candlestick March 9-10, 2024
March 9, 2024 @ 9:00 am - March 10, 2024 @ 4:00 pm$450.00
In this Metalsmithing class we will make a candlestick using bronze, copper, and silver. Techniques learned are forging, raising, sinking, and fabrication. Emphasis is on hammering and soldering larger components.
Sometimes it’s good to get away from jewelry. The making of objects is a release from the confinements of jewelry construction. The sculptural aspects of working in a larger scale are extremely rewarding. It opens up new ideas in your jewelry development, and may even spark a new direction for you!
- use of all tools and materials used in the class.
