Britt Anderson specializes in metal forming and anticlastic raising to produce his beautiful fluid jewelry forms. He is an Illinois native who grew up working in his parents’ jewelry store. Now a North Carolina resident, he will be teaching at James Carter Studio April 4 – 6, 2022. This is a three day class.

Britt brings to this class his love of working in metal and an enthusiasm that is contagious. He will come ready to discuss design, properties of precious metals and handling of precious metals including annealing and work hardening to allow formation of flowing shapes and patterns. He will teach anticlastic raising, anticlastic fold forming , creating spiculums and shell forms. At least one class project will be completed. A package of recommended hammers and stakes will be available for rent during the class and for purchase at the end of class.
