Jewelry II – Jewelry for Beginners: Marriage of Metal Project March 11 – 12, 2023
March 11 @ 9:00 am - March 12 @ 4:00 pm
$450.00
Prerequisite: Jewelry I or previous jewelry experience. Please email the studio with questions.
We build on the skills learned in Jewelry I. Marriage of metal is a relatively simple technique that produces a wide variety of visual effects. In this class, the student solders contrasting metals together using hard solder. Typically, metals used are 18 gauge copper, brass and silver sheet. After soldering the pieces together, they can be re-cut and soldered into contrasting positions. In this project, we incorporate our finished shapes into a pendant, bracelet or earrings.
