Description: Cloisonne enamel is basically drawing with fine silver wire to create a composition and then filling in the wires with, transparent, opaque, or opalescent glass. Students will do the initial drawing on a piece of 2” diameter copper. As you work you will decide on what type of enamel to use to make it visually effective. Techniques covered will be; wire bending using various thicknesses of wire, gold and silver foiling, and proper finishing techniques.
