Jewelry II will start with bezels, one of the most important skills in jewelry making. Everyone likes stones and it is the first thing that draws the eye to a well constructed piece of jewelry. Bezels are difficult to perfect but not impossible. Follow the steps and it will work. The students will finish 2 or possibly 3 bezels of different shapes. Craftsmanship will be emphasized. In the second day, students will make a pendant using the skills learned from Jewelry I along with the bezel made the previous day. The bezel can be suspended from the pendant or mounted on a flat piece of metal. By the end of the second day, students will learn finishing. The use of files, the foredom handpiece and polishing techniques will be covered.
(Stone setting will be covered in Jewelry III)
Class size limited to 4 students.
