Prerequisite: This is an beginner project. The spiral has been an element of art and design for centuries. The Art Nouveau period used it extensively as an inspiration from nature. In this class we will use the spiral as a departure point in a pair of earrings. It can stand alone or it can be combined with other elements to make a cohesive design. Techniques covered will be, wire bending, stone setting, embossed metals, or other ideas the students come up with. They can be matched or unmatched depending on design preferences.
