Your instructor, Dallas Pridgen, has been casting gold, silver, and bronze for over 30 years. He is a master of the medium. The first part of the class will be held at James Carter studio. This time will be devoted to developing wax carving skills and the design of your work.
Upon completing the first stage, we will take a four-block road trip to the studio of Dallas Pridgen. There, Dallas will teach sprueing the models, investing, and burnout techniques. Casting the model in molten silver will complete this stage.
The final stage will be returning to the James Carter Studio, where we will clean our castings and add embellishments to the jewelry piece.
Class Size: Limited to six students.

Supplies Fee: There will be a fee for the metal used in casting. This will be determined during class depending on the size and number of pieces you complete.
